Meeting with Russian cosmonaut in Star City

1.Day:

Arrival in Moscow. Meeting with an English-speaking guide in the airport. Transfer to the hotel “Cosmos” 4*. Check-in.

City Sightseeing Tour.
During the tour you will see the most impressive sights of the Russian capital: the Red Square, St.Basil’s Cathedral, Mausoleum, Moskva-river, the Cathedral of Christ the Savior (one of the largest Orthodox Churches in the world), the Convent of the Maidens, Moscow State University and Vorobyevy Hills (beautiful panorama of Moscow), Triumph Arch, Boulevard Ring, Novy Arbat street, central streets and squares.

2. Day:

Breakfast in the hotel.
09:30 – meeting with our guide in the lobby, start to the Star City.
11:00 – 13:00 – Cosmonauts Training Center Sightseeing Tour.
Star City (Zvyozdny Gorodok) is one of the most attractive space objects in Russia. You will see the biggest Centrifuge in the world (The weight is 300 tonn and the shoulder radius is 18m) - it is used for cosmonaut selection and training by simulating the bad factors of space flight. The Hydro lab is designed to test space objects models, perform cosmonaut training and experiment research in the condition of the simulated micro gravity, MIR Station and etc.
13:00 – 14:00 – Lunch in the café with a Russian cosmonaut who will narrate about life and operation in orbit..
14:30 – Return to the hotel. Free time.

3.Day:

Breakfast in the hotel.
09:30 – meeting with our guide in the lobby, start to the Mission Control Center.
10:30 – 12:30 – During the tour you will know about operation and structure of the MCC, look round its main halls – where spacecrafts of scientific and socio-economic purpose and Russian segment of ISS are under control; watch video film.
12:30 – Return to the hotel. Lunch on your own.
14:00 – 17:00 – Walking tour to the Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics located in a short distance from the hotel “Cosmos” and metro station ‘VDNKh”. The museum is accommodated in the stilobate of the monument "To Conquerors of space" which is one of the most famous monument in Moscow. The Memorial museum of cosmonautics was solemnly opened on April 10, 1981, in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the first space flight performed by the inhabitant of the Earth - Yu. Gagarin. The idea of creation of the museum belongs to S. Korolev , the Chief Designer of the space - rocket systems. Now the museum is conducting a great reconstruction. A new museum complex in the capital of great space power will reflect the real history of space achievements, based on scientific facts and with the help of modern museum technologies. In special zones it is planned to install interactive exhibits similar to those of Gagarin Cosmonauts Training Center. With the help of such devices our visitors will be able to feel themselves as real cosmonauts on board the spaceship "Soyuz" or International Space station.
When the excursion is over you will be presented the tubes with “cosmic meals”.
17:00 – Return to the hotel. Free time.

4.Day:

Breakfast in the hotel.
Free time. Upon request other excursions or trip for souvenirs are available.

5.Day:

Breakfast in the hotel. Check-out before 12:00. Transfer to the airport.

Cost of this program is 475 euro per person (group of 15 persons) in a double standard room, additional payment for single accommodation is 270 euro
(inclusive of double accommodation in the hotel “Cosmos” with breakfast, excursion and transport service, English-speaking guide’s work, entrance tickets to the museums, dinner in the café in Star City).

Kindly note, since most of the above objects are located out of Moscow, time of beginning and duration of the excursions can be changed depending upon traffic jam.
